While he calms down, Michael conducts a short exercise in discovering the thoughts and feelings that arise within us as we form our judgments and conclusions about people and things. THE LUNCH & JUDY SHOW! #29 Starring your hostess extraordinaire JUDY STADT.  Hello Darlings!  Something new has been added to the show!  Judy Stadt presents new, original stories and she will be reading one chapter per week.  This week’s  first offering will keep you glued to your seat … it  is entitled; THE HIKE.  On this weeks TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT segment Judy insists that the most important thing we can do for the future of our country and the world is teach our kids early, in school the art of communication so that they will grow up able to intelligently debate issues with their wits instead of stupidly fight with guns.  She then sings one of her new originals; TUNE: COMMUNICATE.  Our Cabaret guest interview this week is the very talented singer Kevin Dozier and we get a taste from his magical new CD Love-Wise with; TUNE: THE SHADOW OF YOUR SMILE.  Of course, the wonderful Theatre Schmoozer Joel Markowitz tells Judy and the rest of us what’s new in DC and New York’s theatre scene.  Ms. Stadt sings; TUNE: MEAN TO ME.  Then, because she loves it, one of Frank Sinatra’s most touching songs that speak to the winners we all can be – but we must plan for it; TUNE: WINNERS.  A reminder to listen to Judy’s upcoming special HALLOWEEN show complete with scary Gothic tales and blood curdling screams that have ghoulish flare.  Turn off the lights and listen along with friends.    Judy would love to hear what you think about the show, so why not leave a comment?  Thanks so much.

Michael Horn 19: Gratitude, Bad Attitude, and Why’d They Deify that Dude?

Posted by admin on October 7th, 2010
Michael Horn Thumb Zig Zag2

This week’s show explores gratitude and looks at how some underlying fears can affect what is otherwise a major key to happiness in life. Michael also discusses his recent experiences with a couple of “UFO experts” and the strange and somewhat fearful attitudes some of them seem to have. Michael also candidly discusses the notion, in Monday morning quarterbacking style, that perhaps the ETs at the time of Jmmanuel just coulda, woulda, shoulda done a few things to avoid his deification and the centuries of grief that has brought humankind. And there’s another round of Q&A to round out this jam packed hour.

THE LUNCH & JUDY SHOW! #28 with Host Judy Stadt.  This week’s theme is addiction.  Do you have the symptoms of an addictive personality?  Addiction is not only to drugs & alcohol but almost anything … like sex, food, sugar, speed, shopping just to name a few.  Also, on this week’s TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT Judy rants about life today and tries to remind us that history is repeating itself, so open up your eyes and be an aware citizen.  Frank Sinatra sings about an addition to love TUNE:  YOU’RE GETTING TO BE A HABIT WITH ME.  Judy’s all time favorite radio personality is Jean Shepherd and she gives you a taste of his incomparable style with one of his monologues entitled MONKEY ON MY BACK. Ms. Stadt then plays a new tune she wrote for you ONE JUST LED TO ANOTHER, and then sings another TUNE: I GOT IT BAD.  And just to reinforce this theme she plays Nat King Cole’s TUNE: THE MORE I SEE YOU.  Judy then reveals her addiction to entertaining YOU.  Joel Markowitz, our resident THEATRE SCHMOOZER chats with Judy about what new shows are coming to Washington DC & Broadway this fall.  Ms. Stadt is looking for international chefs to call in with simple lunch recipes to share with audiences for THE LUNCH & JUDY SHOW! and announcing that the coming Halloween show frighteningly close, will feature scary stories and suggests that you download the show and share it with your friends and family at midnight around a camp fire.
